Concert 2005: big time sucks.

Yes, the concert was poorly organized -- the timing was off, the setup was rushed, there was NO time for vocal or instrument tests, the audience expectations were not set up properly (DB only supposed to sing a few numbers), hell people even tried to squeeze in the trophy distribution and raffle drawings in the middle of the concert. The list continues?. Unfortunately SHIT happens and there are a lot of would have, could have, should haves. The allegations made on this thread regarding showing no respect to DB, ignoring DB, who managed the concert and who did not, who favored which band and who did not are all BULL SHIT. The reality is that each band had the necessary caliber, skills and talent in their own unique way to be invited to perform in the first place. Some band members had more airtime than others, but it was not out of disrespect or favoritism to anyone. If one band was not necessarily your cup of tea, then you could have moved on, left the room and joined back when you so desired. The whole idea of having such an eclectic group of bands was to try and cater to a variety of music lovers so everyone could get some entertainment out of the event. And of course yes, there were things that could have been done differently. I am not advocating that we settle for less. I personally really enjoyed the concert ? all of it. And I commend all the artists for doing a great job. Unwritten Karma, I bought your CD ? it rocks and I agree with Damage Plan ? it is quite different from mainstream Nepali songs and very catchy tunes. I really like it! By the way, the artists did move the crowd, despite all the unfortunate circumstances. If you don?t believe me, check out the photos. Pictures always speak louder than words.
