Dalai Lama- Double Faced ??? You Decide.

It irks me to core when I hear that the Lord Buddha was born in India. But again, that is what it?s written in so many places and in many others, they rightfully mention Nepal as His birthplace. Then again, how can we correct the so-called intellectuals who write such things? May be one step at a time? Anywhere we see such mistake, we write to the authors? And see what kind of explanation they can give. As for His Holiness the Dalai Lama saying that, I haven?t heard it. But then again, I am not saying you, Pritaz, are making this up. He may have said it and we should bring this up to his or his offices? attention. There?s got to be some kind of explanation. More importantly, as a devout follower of the Lord Buddha, and one of the most prominent leaders in Buddhism, His Holiness has been barred many times by various administrations of Nepal at different times from visiting the ?birthplace? of Lord Buddha, Lumbini, and Nepal in general. Of course, we all know it is due to the pressure that our government(s) gets from the Chinese Communist Regime. So, why don?t we voice our concern to our government to not give in to every little pressure they get from China and for God?s sake allow His Holiness the Dalai Lama to visit our beautiful country where Buddha was born. On Wednesday, July 6th, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be turning the age of 70. In various locales in the United States and elsewhere, his birthday will be celebrated on July 2nd and 3rd. See if you guys can join the festivities and celebration. Nice place to check it out for information ? phayul.com. And one last thing, Pritaz, His Holiness has always spoken for the down-troddens of this entire world. When he speaks for Tibet?s independence, he is speaking on behalf of the 6 million human beings that are Tibetans who are brutally suppressed by the Chinese. Along with speaking for the Tibetans, he always speaks for all that are voiceless. When he prays, he doesn?t just pray for himself or his fellow Tibetans, he does for all ?sentient beings?. Now, to speak specifically for the Nepali refugees from Bhutan ? I?m sure he?d speak for them if opportunity arose. He may have done so already ? but again, we can?t just nit pick a leader such as him to speak out the concerns of only you and I? The Dalai Lama is SPIRITUAL AND TEMPORAL LEADER OF TIBET, which entails him to both practice Buddhism and govern the country of Tibet (of course, if it was free). But, if he had to choose, he?d said this many times that he?d rather be just a Buddhist monk, a ?simple monk? at that. But doing so at this critical juncture that the country of Tibet is in, wouldn?t you feel that he?d be abandoning his own people? Dalai Lama ? double faced??? Absolutely NOT. I?d say he?s someone with multiple obstacles but always trying to teach others how to live a happy life. Nonetheless, would you at least join me in wishing this ?simple monk? whom Time Magazine once dubbed ?the Living Buddha?, a happy 70th Birthday?
