Why there still exists "Touchability": chhuwachhut problem in country. Do you think that is more political than the abstract from the caste system. Why our journalists as in Kantipur are contributing on the news. Because, there exist problems, definitely, which we have to address. You are right, it shouldn't create antagonistic view, while looking on the system. Follwoing is the news on the Kantipur daily: छुवाछूत अन्त्य गर्न आन्दोलन ---(दिलबहादुर छत्याल) दिपायल, जेठ २८ - दलित र महिलाको क्षेत्रमा कार्यरत संघसंस्थाहरूले छुवाछूत अन्त्य गर्न आन्दोलन गर्ने भएका छन् । यहाँ सदरमुकाममै दलितले सार्वजनिक स्थल मन्दिर, खानेपानीको धारा, होटेललगायतमा भेदभाव खेप्नुपरेको छ । अधिकार प्राप्त गर्न हस्तक्षेप गर्नु आवश्यक देखिएकाले सबै संघसंस्थाको संयुक्त पहलमा आन्दोलन गर्ने तयारी भइरहेको गरिबी न्यूनीकरणका भरत नेपालीले बताए । शैलेश्वरी मन्दिरमा प्रवेश गरेर दलित र महिलाका अधिकारका लागि आन्दोलनको सुरु गरिने बताइएको छ । अढाई वर्षअघि दलितहरूले यो मन्दिरमा प्रवेश गरेका थिए । त्यसपछि पुनः दलितलाई प्रवेश गर्न बन्देज लगाएको दलित महिला संघकी अमृता विश्वकर्माले बताइन् । दलित र महिलाको उत्थानका लागि भनेर डोटीमा दर्जनौं संघसंस्था कार्यरत छन् । तर सदरमुकामकै दलितलाई होटेलमा खान, बस्न नदिने, धारामा पानी छुन नदिने, मन्दिर प्रवेश गर्न नदिने र छाउपडी महिलालाई दूध, दहीजस्ता खानेकुरा नदिने, गोठमा सुताउनेजस्ता भेदभाव रहेका छन् । यस्ता प्रथा र चलन हटाउन संघर्ष गर्नुपर्ने निष्कर्षमा संघसंस्था पुगेका छन् । गरिब न्यूनीकरण परियोजनाद्वारा ५ दिनसम्म यहाँ चलाइएको पैरवी क्षमता अभिवृद्धि तालिममा पनि सहभागी संघसंस्थाका प्रतिनिधिलाई हस्तक्षेप गर्नुपर्ने आवश्यकता औंल्याइएको थियो । संघसंस्थाले जातीय, लैंगिक छुवाछूत अन्त्यका लागि संयुक्तरूपमा अगाडि बढ्ने बताएका छन् । IN such circumstances, is their any automatic or mathmatic solutions than integrating such social issues in development process. Of course, we should be able to discuss the problematic issues in public. Though, it seems like that it creates division at the begining, but definitely, in a long run given the fact that it is well integrated with proper education and extension, it will have a positive effects afterall.
