While India , officially, claims Maoists to be terrrorists, it constantly hobnobs, in secret or not to secret, with the Maoist heirarchy. The Maoists would really feel the squeeze if India decides to disengage with them. They are already feeling a lot of heat from the bus debacle and the supposed split between Babu Ram and "the firece one" camps.
