That?s why they are our great neighbor 'Indians'. They don't want to see us assuming anything more than "Gorkhas". Nepalese were gradually improving their educational, social and may be economic (but failed in political sphere) uplifting and they did not like Nepal being prosopus in anyway. I think a stable, strong, self determined Nepal is considered as a threat to their national security. Once Nepalese get all the infrastructure and strong economy and relatively good military, India might have some fare about new and developed Nepal asking for our 1/3 of the Nation that is being forcefully occupied by it. The rights for the population of Nepali/gorkhas in Northeast and in Bhutan and the Gorkha movement in Darjeeling and Nepalese within India, I think these are the real concern for them. I think once Nepal builds oneself as a self determined nation, India fear that we will ask for all the injustice that was done by the British ruler of the India and then after so called democratic ruler of India. They are pretty much aware of the level of confidence and ability of Nepalese than we ourselves. A stronger Nationhood of Nepal and Nepali beyond the boundaries of present geographic location of Nepal from Kumau to Asham, which I think is considered as a prominent and may be eminent threat to their National interest/security. That?s why they do all the games! They entice Political parties, king and Maoist and all of them the power hunger obliged to them.
