It depends upon your consulting company. But in general experience it is happening . check out at www.immigration.com the company you actually work for will pay the consulting company( there may be many middle companies in between). They will then pay you after cutting some money( if there are two you will get 40% or more less). you will have to do the timesheet every two weeks. you won't get paid for sick or any time off and most probably no insurance. but it depends upon your company. It is not legal to not pay in USA but it is happening. even if they pay you will have to wait a long time. That is the general experience of the people.
