Many people say that Patan looks like an unsystematic congregation of buildings with lots of narrow alleys and dark enclosed spaces, forming mazes where a stranger can get easily lost. But for long time dwellers like us, it is as beautiful and adorable as ever. One good thing I found out in my last visit is that if you build your house in a traditional style inside the city, the Municipality gives you free bricks. As a result of that, many traditional styled buildings have mushroomed in the city, giving the city a genuine look and helping preserve its identity.
