I have not read the book. But I have heard that some quarters in Kathmandu believe in the conspiracy theory that the corporations, and by that mostly Americans, are out to rob Nepal of its water resources. They believe water is next oil and America is out to get it, by hook or crook. I don't know the rationale behind this argument, as the person I was talking to could not come up with a good logic to support his claim. Perhaps this book explains the theory. Can you please post the summary of the book? Thanks.
