I totally agree with testdirector. We have inherent tendency to see fault on others and hide of one's. When India was struggling for freedom from English empire, we had a kind of established state. But what we did in terms of improving our systems, educate people and bring development in villages? We did no thing and afraid of our neighbours who are advancing ahead though thier pace is slow. Now, even we are not in a position to be compared to Bhutan and Bangladesh. Think about Sri Lanka fighting a civil war since 1971. She is still a prosperous country with free education, free health and subsidized public transportation. Don't say that these country had infrastructure built by British. Your development depends on the type of institutions you got to solve your problem. So what type of institutions we got since the inception of Nepal? We got institutions that are centered to fulfil the interest of few - few who influence in the village, in the twon, in the district and finally in the capital. We never got system that is favorable for the best interest of the people. If you got institutions that work for people, It does not matter what type of neighbour you have. Most of the South American countries might preceive the US as a pain in thier ass, but these countries are advancing ahead. We could advance ahead along with India. If we could be self sufficient and be less dependent on India, that would be great. But believe me, we can grow fast along with India we should have institutions that can mediate to achieve that goal.
May PASUPATI NATH give wisdome to Nepali people and make them realise the importance of collective growth in the era of globalization.
