This one of the reasons the Maoist were able to use "racial inequality" as one of the agendas to launch the revolt which you can read in their "40 Point Demands"( submitted to Deuba just days before the start of armed revolt). None of any other political parties have any agendas based on this issue. I wonder why these poltical parties were mum about this issue when their leaders have seen this disgusting social realites in Nepal for centuries until this day. I wonder why does it take radical leaders like Baburam and Prachanda to bring this issue to mainstream political debate. I guess Baburam and Prachanda were convinced by the fact that unless the establishment were to be confronted with armed revolt, the establishment was not going to discuss and bring social issue like this one to the mainstream politics and start thinking the ways to resolve these social issues in masses. In fact, the Maoist revolt was sadly bloody one but it did definately produced some great results as well. Because of this revolt it brought into light some buring but hidden social issues to the mainstream political debate which otherwise would have taken at least next 25-40 years for the establishment to even give a crap about it.
