Silent Reader, You are right about my political stubbornness. I am not a practicing politician not to be one, if you know what I mean. I mean does it make more sense to you if I compromise my political conviction of a republican democracy just to please the people with other convictions in Sajha ? Does not make sense to me. If you are not talking about political convictions but just personal behavior, however, I believe I have always reciprocated politeness with politeness. If there is any occasion I have failed, I will appreciate my well wisher's reminder and I have no problem to apologize gracefully where it is due. As for chasing somebody out of Sajha, unless you have been told so by the victim himself, there is little sense for someone who would choose to remain anonymous in being chased away. In any case, if it is verifiably true, I am ready to make up to the victim including tendering a public apology. Could you please verify it ? ********************* X-Gorkhali, As I have said several times to you, I am neither interested in you nor in your brevity. It was your false allegation to Homraj Acharya ji and your nasty remark to his looks for which I was suggesting you to do that at his face. I am sure you are not "brave" enough to do that, or are you ? ********************** Ashu, >Democracy, of which you wish to be a champion, is all about learning >to tolerate people who hold views that "disappoint" and may even >"offend" you (without your resorting to, say, kill them.) Since when expressing a differing view or criticizing became intolerance ? Let me tell you what intolerance is. Intolerance is what Gyanendra Maharaj is doing these days to whom he feels threatened by. And those who support his intolerance are intolerant by solidarity. Any preaching about democracy to them ? >Personally, I am not surprised that you hid behind someone >else's stupid writing to score your political point . . . To score my political point ? Yes. Hiding behind someone else's stupid writing ? Not really. I disapproved it's "stupid" style of writing. Now, after that "stupid" part is gone, what is left ? What is left is the information that the majority of the organizers have some rajabadi history. Add that to the slogans "shree paanch Maharajdhiraj ko jai, Shree paach Badamaharani ko jai" chanted at the rally. Now how much of that is for peace, leave it to others to decide. Did I score my political agenda ? Yes. Was it wrong ? You decide. >Some went there to cheer for the King (doing so is neither criminal nor >illegal!); others wanted to push for better law and order situation; >still, others joined for peace, while a few might have gone for >purely social reasons, and so on and on. If others have gone there for other reasons than we are criticizing them for (that is supporting the dictatorship of the King), then they do not have reasons for being offended. Simple as that. Things should go both ways. ************************** दोधारेज्युको शालिन क्षमायाचना र संयमतापूर्ण अभिमतको लागि धन्यवाद दिनै पर्छ ।
