I've read opinions saying... that women who have sex on the first date are sluts. That women who have sex with more than 5 men in thier lives are whores. At the same time there is talk about "hotties" about "getting some". Perhaps these aren't the same people, but it brings to mind the old double standard. Sow your wild oats, but marry a virgin. Oh yea whats new...nothing again. Then again.....well, if we let nature take its course, people are going to get pregnant. In olden times, it was possible and necessary for people to be decent parents in their teenage years. Due to social change, this is NO LONGER POSSIBLE. Furthermore, I doubt there are many teenagers who are screwing because they WANT children - they do it for pleasure, to show "love" for someone, et cetera. We, as a society, don't want them to have children either - it will damage our society. So, given the fact that teens WILL screw, what must we do? Provide a way for them to do it without getting pregnant. In other words, provide reliable, simple ways of birth control instead of blaming them. Having a dozen kids is now not only unnecessary, but stupid and quite likely disastrous. Birth control MUST be freely available, and it must be used by teens and all others not interested in being pregnant. To that end we MUST teach teens how to use birth control, and make it freely and confidentially available. If made a big deal then well...more abortion will take place.
