IFji, I agree Mohan Lohani was a total misfit for that post. His profession is in academics. By Chakadi-chukli he became Ambassador to Bangladesh during Begum Hasina's time. After his tenure as Ambassador was over, he got the job as the head of that Insititute of Foreign Affairs. It must have been the handy work of Prakash Chandra Lohani, Mohan Lohani's first cousin, who at that time was the Foreign Minister. About Nischal Nath's capability I am unaware of anything regarding him. I am not trying to make any comparisons here. I am just trying to say that because Nischalnath is the son of Ramesh Nath, it must have been easier for him to rise up unhindered.
