Things need to be done immediately (theoritically): 1.Bring Maoists to the table for peace TALKS, by hook or crook if not CRUSH them. I am pretty sure the Army, Armed Police etc has the potential to act in this different and current circumstances. However, before doing any drastic and to save lives, give them (Maoists) lots of incentives and chances especially to the lower level cadres. Lure them, reqard them and excuse them. Or, stoop down to any level to win the hearts and minds because they are very dedicated people with a mission (their methods are not) unlike karyakartas of any other political parties, because we can?t afford to prove this current move by the king as a political folly or suicide. 2. Reduce King?s "Three Years" to three MONTHS and hand over the people's right to people themselvs. In today?s day and age nobody likes active king anymore and should remain constitutional as long as possible. The king should not forget to consult the Purohit (Priest) for shubha ?saiit (auspicious time) to initiate the peace dialogue. If the king already has designed the talks and peace process prior to his current action, expose them to make the junta happy. 3. Efforts to generate positive attitude towards current move among those who oppose the move (cash in from the majority of people who have hatred towards the political leadership or parties) and restore human rights as soon as possible. 4. Seize passports of all the so-called politicians. Strict control over the traffic in the airports so no one, who got fat and probably cholesterol too, by putting rest of the people in poverty, can escape. 5. Freeze bank accounts of all the politicians and present and former corrupt employee of the government and make them public. Convert their houses into ?anathashrams? for the victims of the insurgency. Prosecute such politicians under the ?corruption act? instead of jailing them as political prisoners. Make use of that money to bring about socio-economic changes in the country. 6. Keep the people away from getting together so that they cannot brew RIOTS. It appears right now, there is a vacuum in leadership with the opposition so no organization and events could take place for the riots. Alternatively, elimination of so called Neta?s who are responsible for all the hool-dunga, tod-fod automatically results in peace. Junta seemed not too bothered by the royal take over. They are pretty much fed up with the Neta?s anyway. However, their confidence and sense of security should be restored. 7. We have no chance if the King fails to deliver and the country will disintegrate without possibility of integration. Move with caution to restore peace and development, genuinely for the sake of Nepalese in the absence of political parties, in every possible way. The King has put his throne at stake and his failure would prove not only fatal to him but Nepal?s fate will be in turmoil. 8. Pray for well being of common and poverty stricken Nepalese and dominance of peace and development and restoration of authentic democracy (if prevails anywhere) in Nepal. These are some "man-ko-laddu" for the further actions to save the country from someone who does not understand the situation fully.
