Tibetan made Nepal a center of Buddhism in the world because of all the famous teachers. Just of pilgrim tours and export of Handicraft items alone are bringing another 100s of millions of dollar. Dont forget our govt uses Buddhism as a begging bowl to ask for more donation. Do you think Hollywood Actors like Richard Gere and Steven Siegal come to Nepal for just touring? No they come because their root Buddhist teachers are all Tibetan and they live in monastries in Nepal. Just for your info, Teachers also ask them to help with local schools and alike. Yes, Tibetans started rug industry and they made millions. Along the way, many other nepalis also made millions. But they always invested back in the country. They did not act like Madwari who looted the country and went to India. Look at how Tibetans along with Manange and others have revitalized Swayambhunath. They have spent 10s of crore to preserve and renovate Swayambhunath so that future generations and visitors cna enjoy holy place like Swayambhunath. Tibetans are opening monastries and enrolling poor people from remote villages giving them opportunities to study the language , culture and dharma since it is very similar. And there are 100s of monastries that have opened up in Kathmandu alone. Tell me what have you done for the country and you are calling yourself patriotic.
