I have not done it myself but Fiverr, Upwork or similar sites are where you can bid with your quote on small to larger projects. My understanding is your project-count, pay, and reputations will grow proportionally though your first successful bid might start from a paltry $50-100.
If that's not appetizing enough you could find a local hybrid work that you can work 90+% remote once you have convinced your company boss of your productivity. Newly released remote jobs are flooded with 100+ applications within an hour of posting but if you can be in the first 20% pool of applicants with ample keywords matching, you could get lucky assuming the job-posting is not fake.
The job-market, as it currently stands, is a hostage to Jerome Powell and the Fed's higher-for-longer interest-rate policy with a negative growth-rate for Q1 GDP in the backdrop. So, adapt accordingly.
