Public charge rule generally does not apply to Medi-Cal recipients when adjusting status through family-based petitions, except for cases involving long-term institutional care. Just to be on the safe side, fill out Form I-864 if your wife is still on Medi-Cal. This form will show that the petitioner (you) can support the applicant financially and ensure they won't rely on government assistance.
