Governor ko lagi fight

As usual, I react to the nonsense going on in the selection of RB Governor with a perspective, which you normally do not hear and consider, and my rhetorical questions: 1. How long can these leaders and vested interest be quarrelling among themselves to get the biggest share of their loot and protect their loot? Is the country?s interest really uppermost in their mind? I doubt. 2. Can you name a RB governor (Sharma, Rana, Thapa, Pant, Shrestha, Rawal, et al) who has done anything to improve the life of sadharan janata other than to warm the governor?s chair and look after the interest of himself, his family and friends, and to protect the vested interest of selected few? 3. I for one always am looking at the names of a Janajati when an appointment is announced. Is there any durdarshee Nepali out there? 4. Where is the role and participation of Janajati in the mainstream? What happened to the names like Tamang, Gurung, Rai, Limbu, Tharu, Magar and other in the Janajati? Do they not exist in Nepal or are they not Nepalis? Why should the big posts ALWAYS be reserved only for a selected few castes? 5. Obviously, from the happenings of the immediate past decade, and many decades before, the country is literally in the dadu panyou of a few selected castes and it is also obvious to the whole world that the country is going through the worst governance in the decade that gave the birth and standing to the Maoists rebels and has witnessed killing of over ten thousand Nepalis. Who will take the responsibility for it? 6. Do not tell me that the successive government in the last several decades did not prepare any capable individuals from the janajatis. 7. How long can the country be a loot of a few selected castes? Go ahead and have your own RB governor, have your own Maobadi rule and what not? Just know that the longer you keep the janajatis away from the mainstream, you are giving birth to a dissension that can potentially further alienate the Nepalis from Nepalis. Not a good sign for a country that is ravaged severely by the Maobadi movement. The fight ought to be for the country, not Governor ko Laagi! These are just my jhilkas. Jhilka
