There may be many reasons on why Dr. Koirala sud or sud not be a governor, however, just being a business partner with PM's wife would not have compelled Deuba to support him so ferociously. I heard that foreign donors want BK as well ( I dont know why).
The issue regarding a civil servant engaging in profit-making private venture definitely points towards conflict of interest. But again, I wonder how much a Chief Secretary earns in Nepal, not to mention other civil servants. Morally, its true that they sud nt e engaged in private profit-making business, but I dont think taht would be practically viable.
And whatever happend to Ram Babu Panta? He is not even on the list.
