This probably is not too bad like everyone is saying. Of course there is hassle to get it but hopefully everything can be done from outside nepal through embassy in terms of process.

As far I know, law that was passed explicitly says nrn citizens can use social , cultural and financial rights . The only rights they don’t have is political and some kind of administrative rights to take govt jobs.

Based on these, my understanding is that it can be used to buy property, invest, protects inherited property, make passport etc. Ofcourse they made some hooks which makes is easy to revoke it, which has potential to get abused.

We have to wait a bit to see how court and other government bodies will interpret it as time comes pass on. All political group and bureaucrats kids are in western countries. I am sure they will do everything in their power to protect their kids right specially financial rights.
