Well, it's a shame then. Just to add, it is not the words (his words were wise enough) that caused all this hurt, but it is his actions that look quite shady and caused all the controversy. Should have maintained the distance. I am nobody to tell him to be aware of his supposedly predatory actions that he had displayed with the kid.
He may be playful and act innocent with public, but there is certain code of conduct expected out of him. Think, people when they grow older and wiser, they seem to forget to maintain that thin line of relationship with people around. May be he has some hidden sexual fetish for kids because of his celibacy, we may not know, man.
