So the things have changed now. They want Nepalese nationals to be present in the embassy itself, to do some kind of live enrollment..hmnn...Well looks like you have to go there in person then. So out of curiosity, is it so hard for you to travel to embassy in Washington? (That $700 per person is not the cost of domestic flight, is it?
) The website is not telling us to go back to Nepal to renew the passports, they are just asking us to come ourselves to embassy...right? Correct me if I am wrong.

Correct me if I am wrong.I had used 'mail-in-renewal' service of Nepalese Embassy in Washington a long time back to renew the passport. If I have to renew the passports again, I will surely go to NY, as myself being in the east coast.
