It's like the Kevlar vest manufacturer wanted to sell a vest that would stop certain kind of bullets, let's say covid bullets. They pay news media and fund politicians so the vest is advertised to stop the covid bullets dead on it's track. If you look back at the news you will see a lot of news even president biden saying that the vest will stop the covid bullets.

After certain time people discovered that even after wearing the vest, it did not stop the covid bullets. The manufacturers said oh there's other covid bullets you need 2nd vest on top and other supplemental booster vests on top to stop the other covid bullets but no matter how many vests you wear, you find that the covid bullet still penetrates you.

So now when it's a common general knowledge that the vest does not stop the covid bullets, the news and the politicians and the Kevlar companies goes on to state that the vest softens the blow. Hell I build my body immune system strong enough to soften the blow instead of wearing that stupid vest that could mess with other functions of my body. It's like why inject some unknown substance to your system when the efficacy of that unknown systems is close to zero as in it does not stop the bullet.

The common citizens cheer and are thrilled that the covid bullet effect would be lessenned instead of being stopped because the media is good at propaganda and making people believe that everyone else believe in this new rhetoric. They believe in the propaganda so much that they have given up their common sense.
