One time a scammer from Craigslist sent me a cheque for more than what i had asked. He asked to deposit and give the over payment to the two people who would come to pick up the merchandise. He gave a sob story about how he is with the Navy and he is stuck ocean. And, he wanted to surprise his fiance with a nuce gift. When I refused to deposit the check suspecting a foul pay, he then introduced me to "the team who dealt with that kind of situation". However, I didn't fall for it and asked to send me a cashier check.
