Anand, don't worry too much about some people here in sajha. Most of the oldies who came to the US a long time ago are from the connected, rich and powerful families. In simpler term, they are "दरबारिया". Ordinary people couldn't think about going to the western countries back then. So, they may still have prejudices. Do your thing!👍
