I wouldn't say that it is a failed state in an absolute sense. However, the US and the world for that matter is going through a major transformation. It looks chaotic because of virus right now, but nonetheless it was going to look chaotic for the next few years. The resources are not a problem for the human kind in modern time. The human can create abundance of it. In the past there used to be many wars mainly for resources, but disguised as ideological as in for religion or democracy. And, it will take sometime for people to come to terms that. Survival is only real thing in physical sense. Everything else is our imagination.
