They are a great conpany, Q3 growth looked awesome, people got confidence in them. Also, Every company have the price area where they wanna stay. If the managers of conpany noticed it’s trading higher then they thought, they will split.
‘More accessible to general investors.’- is a generic answer. Also, most trading brokerages also allow retail investors to purchase fractional shares, so splitting to a lower price per share isn't necessary to attract greater retail interest. Apple have played with split before, they are pro.
