Alcoholism is proven as a disease and some group is trying to justify " pedophilia" is a disease too.
You did not get my point of half glass of water is full ? People put their point/ logic and philosophy on air according to their interest however it depends on how the recipient perceives it. If the same thing you hear many many times you will start seeing and feeling it right, that is how the brain is wired.
