Your half glass example and this issue is comparing apples to oranges.

If you exonerate rapists and murderers saying they have mental issues then you will see a lot of rapes and murders. It is like you are giving them a free pass. Same thing with pedophilia.

Why would you defend or justify pedophilia?? This is not about half empty or half full. There is no justification for this.
