Frankly, blowing out candles for your birthday is not a good symbolism at all. In our culture, I remember having Yomari according to my age. That was far superior culture. Birthday in itself is not meaningful anyway. To be born in this "sansara" is not an accomplishment. When you are here, it should be used to perform service, the highest act that anyone can perform.
