Investing in stock is a personal choice. No one is forcing anyone. We are all adults here (i hope). So we cannot blame anyone if we invest on something and it loses value. My mantra is "ghaati herera haad nilnu" only invest money you can afford to lose. You should still have rainy day funds apart from the stocks. You may get a meager 0.25% interest but it is safe.
