@Rockb currently the S386 bill which is senate version bill of HR 1044 is blocked by lone Senator Rand Paul claiming it does not protect international Nurses.Nurses are not qualified for h1b as they can directly come only in EB3 GCs so this bill will make them wait for almost 8+years. However, he dropped his own version of new bill for employment based yesterday that will increase GC quotas by fourfold X and will be win-win for all nationals including Indians.
But immigration is a controversial subject and as the presidential election approaches near, political moves will keep swinging I guess.
Regardless, just an advice if any nepalese are eligible to apply EB-GC, Opt in for that ASAP. We can't really predict what'll happen.
