@aam mafi, my brother's friend did last month. His TPS (Late initial TPS registration) got approved within three weeks but he is still waiting for his EAD. If you need help let me know I can ask him.

Don't trust any word from this pakhay mangale. If your friend never left the country on and after June 24, 2015 and maintaining non-immigrant status till now, USCIS cannot deny his case. In case if USCIS deny his case, you have right to appeal in the court.
