They can verify through e-verify if they are registered, and have a tps ead with your a number. You can also check you status there. The results will show you can legally work as of the date, but wont show expiration.
Once you use TPS ead you are technically abandoning F1 as well as the OPT privilege. This will affect your future status, so I would be careful on that front.
