Getting Canadian visa has its own criteria. Strong ties and good financial status including good job. You have to prove that you have a genuine intent. I applied last year got approved in just 2 days because I was attending seminar organized by my employer. Since then I already travelled Canada 3 times including twice by driving. Did you submit travel document as well? Recently two of my friends were refused Canadian visa as officer said applicants have potential immigrant intent despite they have both TPS and F1 status.
