 Dear Friends,
I am thinking of adding my parent as a dependent for filing a tax with
the use of ITN, Who is here in a tourist visa (Self-Sponsored). Will there
be any problem in processing green card in future due to to use of ITN As a
dependent. Any advice from tax gurus will be highly appreciated...Thanks

Be CAREFUL !!!! , prawasi_nepa...
One thing you don't want while staying in USA - is to get IRS behind you. Once you are flagged in their system, it will stay forever.

You cannot add just anyone as dependent, and in this case your parents. There are some requirements to qulaify for it.
I am not saying that you will be in trouble, but then you have to send supporting documents while sending your Tax return and W-7 form which is to apply for ITIN.

In dallas7 case, he did for his wife, so he had a valid docs.
Just be careful...

Which visa they are in? If they are in visitors visa what is the ground for ITIN ?
If they are your dependent and you have applied for green card  and under process , in that case you can do it.

If allowed by law , you should enjoy it.  Do not be Penny wise, pound foolish. You're right Stupida.
