Hello Friends,
I will be getting married sometimes this summer in Nepal. I am looking for a good venue for wedding in Kathmandu. If any of you know or have seen a good place and if you could share with me that would be appreciated.
Also, I am looking for some good/decent places for party. How much does it usually cost in nepal per person ?

Thanks.

Racheeta

My sincere thoughts: Donot spend a lot of money on renting a venue and for food. I just dont think its not worth it. I dont see any point to feed all those ppl who have already enough to eat at their home yet still complains on your back. If you really want your wedding to be memorable and want to do something nice, go and feed the old people at 'Briddha Ashram' or some deprived kids. I am not saying donot do anything but please use your hard earned money wisely.
FYI: If you set an example, I am sure your wedding will be long remembered and would be an inspirational. I have not been married but I will not spend lavishly to rent these venues and feed all these people. Its gonna be a simple wedding with some social work and charity donation afterwards.

 Well congratulations.

the venue depedns on your budget :) 2000 pp, gets you a deal in any 5 star hotel. Mokshya in jhamsikel, will do it for about 900 pp, + VAT, and liquors sepearte, u can pretty much bring your own liquor.

a lil upscale venue, and a great location, red lobster in durbarmarg, you can get it for 1600.

Party palace's, which i totally hate, mostly go from 400-500.

Well the price will def change depending on your menu.

anyways, happy wedding :)

I thought the same thing lol...on a serious note get it reserved well in advance otherwise chances are very slim you would get a good venue because there will be multiple multiple marriages if your marriage is according to hindu calendar.
