i want to say go find a job in an indistry based organization but with just an undergrad degree, i don't think you'll get paid much.
based on your explanation, i'm assuming that you don't want to do research so PhD is not a good option. how about doing masters (in biochem) and then job? or get masters degree on IT or something like that like your friends did.
a piece of advice though, it's not about what your friends do, and how much they earn compared to you. it's all about what you want to do and where you want to see yourself in the long run.

Jantare bro
Thanks for the reply. I hope your thanks giving is going well. If i read it right in some of your other threads you are also pursuing molecular biology, If it is not too personal to ask how do you like the experience so far?? I assumed you are in graduate school right?

I also did the same n got masters degree in chemistry. It does not make a difference either u do have bachelors or masters coz industry experience counts more than masters degree. If u r entry level as bachelors or masters pay rate wud be 2k difference. If u don't wanna b a lab rat n if u r good at computer then get a masters in bioinformatics which is a booming market n get paid almost double than a regular masters in biochem major. U don't have to lab rat either. If not then get into a sales rep position as an entry level. This will pay u more in long run thru commission. After couple years of sales get an MBA n that will enhance ur career in sales n marketing. I hope this helps.
