Folks,

I would like to learn about QA - BA training within US -  as I am considering this as a potential career.

Any info about this field from folks working on QA - BA fields or knowledgeable on that would be helpful. Some questions would be:

Which companies may provide good trainings, online as well as on-site. What are placement success etc

people are busy replying on other threads.....many people do not care if its a serious question....they reply if its somewhat related to sex......i am not very hopeful that this thread will get replies.
im sure there are many people working as BA and people who are currently undergoing training, but Nepalese are a lil protective about sharing good honest info.
good luck

Well saide, Kaji Saheb.
Nepali business- first of all  you have to find a company willing to hire you after your training. These days qualified QA and BA analyst are abundant.

QA jobs are there.. and so are the candidates (specially Indian IT guys wives..lol)... Pros- technically not much difficult to learn. Cons- not high paying jobs.

If you dream big, rather go for System Administration (Linux e.g. RHEL, CentOS etc or Solaris), with some networking (Cisco) and Virtual technology (VMWare). It pays good, and is relatively secure job. Another better option is DBA (specially Oracle).

Or master some Enterprise Integration Technologies (e.g. webspheres family from IBM) - learning curve is high but pays handsomely.

If you are beginning your career, don't fear of learning better thing.. it pays in long term and makes your future better life easier.. These days knowledge is almost free online, you just need dedication and will power.

best of luck!

Thanks ANS and the rest

As Kaji_sahab has mentioned, i am considering BA as a potential option than QA (lots of competition in QA). Any ideas you may have on BA trainings and prospects.

I see there is another thread where one guy posted - we offer training, but never followed back though some fellows requested more info.

Lets keep sharing info

Yeah, BA needs lot of documentation skills and related work. Don't jump on particular field/technology simply because 'your friend got job in it' or 'they say it is good..'. Analyze yourself - do you enjoy writing codes? any past experience? your interest? or how is the soft skills - e.g. spoken, documentation, personality (dealing/managing people).. and decide accordingly...carefully.

It is not difficult to switch technology in future (and one should be ready for that specially in such volatile job market), but that needs lots of re-organizing mindset and learning.

Learn what interests you.. but also know the scope and future of that technology before jumping into it.
