Dear Mr. Jyapu:

You should be deported instead of granting you an Asylum. It was a mistake on Immigration.
Good Luck.

I think this Jyapu is Mr. Dangol.
Anyway, congratulations.
Yes, You can file I-485 immediately.

( Mr. Dangol, one advice for you, most sajha users are bahuns, so you probably won't get any helpful answers regarding your anti-bahun immigration question )

Yes, you need to wait a year to file 485, I guess anyone who file asylum should already know it.. I think this is just troll.. for asylum to be granted there has to fear of persecution, here it's just destruction of property no threat for life. Also demolishing house was not done to one specific caste or a group of people.

You could also have told them how jyapus are systematiically discriminated by high caste newars since centuries .

I think you could file I-485 now. The Judge must be from California. I also heard similar story from someone there. That Imm. Judge is very nice.

There are thousands of Ethnic Jyapus in Kathmandu whose houses have been demolished by Government people:

Tell you what there are tonnes of bahuns working under jyapus in US. Jyapus own restaurants where so called higher castes bahuns are dishwashers or kitchen helpers. Many of those Nepal government workers so called bahuns after entering US are even working in stores, gas stations owned by jyapus, Sherpas, Gurungs and other castes. Irving, Dallas Texas area is the living proof.

Once they leave Nepal, they have to leave their bahunbaad or proudbaad whatever it is. So Mr. Jyapu better leave your discrimination and hate back in Nepal too.

So what's the bid deal Bahun working in store owned by japus. Japus are always good and ahead in business , behuns were always good in jobs, politics, bureaucracy. Does bahun working in store owned by japhu proves ones superiority over other. If so what u say about japhu living in country which is most of the time rules by bahuns. Bull Crap.
