Bandita ji how about the incident that happened 4 years ago? can someone apply regarding that because I have a friend who was robbed 2 times 4 years ago.

Yes! Even the old incidents are ok as long as police or other authorities involved could sign the certification documents.

@ujyalo, was he seriously assualted during robbery??? U visa are meant for the victims of violent/serious crimes. Not sure if just getting robbed qualifies for this.....

Bandita Ji my friend was never assaulted, they just robbed him at the gun point. He called the police and they came and did the report. After a month, there was a letter from police department saying we were sorry that he was robbed this and that which he didn't remember. That letter just got stocked in the store he said. H e doesn't have that letter. So can you enlighten it a little bit. Further he is right now waiting for his asylum interview. So in such a case can he still apply for U visa regardless of his asylum pending?
