KATHMANDU: Dilli Ram Parajuli of Nepal has won $1 million, becoming the first Nepali national to hit the jackpot in the One Million US Dollar Raffle of Qatar Duty Free at Doha International Airport, State of Qatar.

Parajuli’s coupon number 1922 was his passport to winning $1 million when the draw was held today.

The winning ticket was picked by the CEO of Qatar Airways and Qatar Duty Free, Akbar Al Baker, at the Qatar Duty Free. The One Million US Dollar Raffle Draw was launched in 2006 and Parajuli is the 12th Millionaire Raffle Winner of QDF. The ongoing promotion has been of particular interest to all the customers at Doha International Airport. Each ticket is priced at Qatari riyal 950 ($263) and can also be purchased on the Qatar Duty Free website www.qatardutyfree.com.qa.

The tickets are also available for purchase for every passenger departing, arriving or transiting through Doha International Airport.

With each raffle draw having only 5,000 tickets, there is a good chance of becoming a winner!
