Nope; that's not Nepali hunu ko pida. That's your own doing.

First and foremost, you guys keep blaming it on "dhotis" but no "dhoti" would come to your place and take you to the consultancy. You have other options than consultancy, you just have to work hard. But NO, you want the easiest route and still complain. Do you think 100% of people employed in IT/consulting have fake resumes and went via consultancy? NOPE!! You chose it this way.

Sure, it is hard with no GC/Citizenship and limited/none experience to find a job here. But each and every Nepali student should know this before hand. Heck, I did. Coming here and studying never guarantees a job. So understand there is a challenge involved. Now, you don't want to do it the right way because right way is hard and you complain?

Many of my Nepali friends are working here legitimately, without faking their resume. So, NO! It's not Nepali hunu ko pida and stop blaming it on "Dhoti" consultancy. I didn't have a GC nor did I had somebody sponsor me for my education. I still got the job right way; if I hadn't I would still take full responsibility for my action..not blame it on me being a Nepali or to a Dhoti consultancy.

Sorry, had to vent. Just too many kids following the wrong path, IMO.

Kudos to Kiddo!!
Surely, it IS NOT a problem for being a Nepali.

PS: Real pida is on your interview day at US embassy (NOT IN NEPAL). When they look at your passport and ...MUKH THWAASSS PARERA ....NIDHAR CHARAKKKA KHUMCHYAYERA ..... N.E.P.A.L. bhanda chanhi ho.. Pida huncha but not in this case.

why we Nepali blaim always Nepalese? this is great problem misconception. first thing for most, Do not blaim Nepalese or Nepal, do what you can do for you, for your family, for your community, and for your nation "Nepal". bring the positive changes so that others get inspiration from you.

Sorry if I  have any grammatical and spelling error in this post.

@Yekku

"Dhoti ko gas station  kaam garnai parnae"

This is something we have to do. Most of us are from middle class family and our parents don't have that much of money to support us.so we don't have a choice. But, this is not just us, there are many people(who are born here) who take a side job (in a motel, gas station, cab driver) to support themselves when they are in college. तेसकारण मन सानो नगर्नुस. you are not alone.

"ani graduate bhaisakye pachi pani feri consultancy"

Some people think and see this as an easy way. Well, half agreed and half not. half agreed in the sense that it allows people to stay here and work legally. Of course there are always other ways. However those so called other ways are not only difficult and but also UNCERTAIN. People don't want to live in an uncertaintity. some people might, but most of them don't. Those people just can't afford to take a risk due their problems. If somebody says "if we don't take risk, we can't go ahead and bla bla bla". But some people are happy with what they have now. Period.

Whatever you are doing brother, good luck on that. If anyway I can offer you any help let me know.

To all those great people(Yes, I said great) who rant:

Great in the sense that I acknowledge you are smarter than us. and that's why got a good grade, a good job and don't have to go through the easy route.I know some of those people will understand the fact that life is not easy for other people and they don't have much more choices like they do. But some people don't understand but still that's ok . You guys are still great.

I just want to say something over here.

1)A graduate is working on his OPT(not though consultancy, its a direct hire). His company didn't file for his h1. He went to another job, over there also his company didn't show any interest to file for his h1. In few months his OPT is going to expire.

Now, what are his other options? or Is it his fault that he couldn't able to show his true value to his employer? and that's why they didn't show an interest to file for his h1.

This a hypothetical scenario. I really don't want any one to come up with any answer for this question. Just understand that (if you can) , there are other hundreds, may be thousands of reason that makes people to choose one or other way. Ranting doesn't help much, real help does or at least showing some support to them does. We don't have to loose anything or does we? and that what makes us a human. Supporting each other.

All other who are on this thread(everybody) ,in sajha(everybody), good luck and my best wishes for what you guys are doing.

Be nice to yourself.
Be nice to others.
Be nice to Earth.

As long as Nepal is weak, we Nepalese will always have to suffer one way or the other. So yes, being a Nepali, we do go through a lot of hardship. Hopefully, in future, our country will be strong and respected in the world for us to enjoy some semblance of respect.
