Please spread the news among your tourist american and other international friends to boycott domestic nepalese flights. Never even think of flying Sita air . Sita air should be court martialed in the international aviation market.

So, is there any updates from the Sita air plane crash? History shows the truth will never come out. Innocent travelers life at stake again!!

Any real man out there? Any real investigative journalist out there (of course not a nepali)? For someone with b*lls, interested in investigative journalism and making documentries can actually embark on making a project to reveal the naked truth about Nepal airlines corporation, TIA and privately owned commercial nepalese airplanes to create some international pressure. They should either meet the international aviation standards or just perish!!!

aviation bro, there has to be some underlying reason for the carsh. as you mentioned, the bird would have been chopped into pieces and people are also speculating that the aircraft may have been carrying more load than the limit. if the aircarft was overloaded, as soon as the engine failed it must have spun out of control.

NTSB would most likely not be a part of this investigation since there is only 1 American fatality but i wish they would take part. i heard that a British team is confirmed and Chinese investigation team is deciding whether to join the team in Nepal.

i do not know how the aviation training works in Nepal but I sure do hope that pilots are recurrent on their aircarft and have recurring training upto par.

Heres another instance when a bird is sucked into a jet engine on take off. The plane takes off with one operational engine and lands safely.

Biwash sathi,

That’s the very good point you came up with. It could be MTOW( Max takeoff weight) issue too being Dornier 228s MTOW is just 5700-6200 which is not a whole lot. Really not much info on its engine either (Garrett TPE 331-5-252D). I have seen engine like Pratt & Whitney’s PT6 (turboprop) that got filter on inlet duct so bird ingestion wouldn’t be possible. At this point, I speculate one engine failure due to bird strike and pilot couldn’t regain control being flying in very low altitude. Just my two cents.

Do you also have the data about what went wrong  in each flight that led to the mishap? Do you see any clustering of cases? Anything in common at all?
