I try not to criticize Nepali Movies. I know that the industry is still evolving. However, the success of loot started this mutation of Nepali Cinema. Loot was a decent Nepali cinema. Yes there were lots of technical flaws in Loot. And I believe, Nischal Basnet, if given more liberty have the make better products than Loot.
Mr. Basnet is not the case here.
This is the ethical question about artistic creativity.
Imitation, if used as inspiration, is an art. But this cognitive and socio-genetic habit of copying is reaching the saturation point.
Even a person with negative IQ can be CREATIVE. I don’t know why Nepalese Entertainment Industry is going in the southern direction.
Is it because of cultural and geographical proximity to India, particularly UP, Bihar, and West Bengal (the least developed Indian States)? Or do these people from the Industry think that we are still living in 1950s Nepal.
They continue to insult the intelligence of the audience. People are more educated now. The literacy rate is more than 50 percent now. But I recently discovered that more than 80 percent of people working in Kollywood did not even pass SLC. So, Why are we allowing incompetent people to make movies?
