Hello My dear sajha Fens;
I just finished my master in computer science. My OPT is on the way. But i already start working with a small desi software company from last few months on cash promising to continue after my OPT. My questions are:
1) Can i file direct Green card from my opt insted to going thro H1?
2) If yes, Is there any certain salary range requirement for this process?

I filed my Greencard when I was in OPT and I did not go thru H1. My Greencard process went very smoothly and did not had any problem. The salary I showed when filing my Greencard was $84,000. I guess the salary cap for Masters' in Computer Science is around $80,000 but I am not 100% sure.
 
It depends upon your luck if your Greencard will be approved when filing from OPT, so, why not give it a try. If not you have the option of filing the H1 if there is any quota left.
