Can you all please suggest some Nepali/English names starting with letter B for my to-be born nephew. Our family has a tradition of naming everyone starting with B.
He will be a US citizen by birth, should we give him a Nepali name or go with some American name.
There are pros and cons for both for sure. We are more into Nepali names to keep up with our roots, culture and tradition.

I would give him a Nepali name (as you know Barack Obama is doing well with his name). But, try to make it easy for others to say his name. Once you have top 5 names, ask your American friends whether they can pronounce easily/correctly. You should avoid Nepali names that sound funny when you hear in English (search a sajha thread for more.. at least one was posted recently). For example, use Beni Bahadur in Nepali and it can be Ben in short. don't use bed prasad or Badri as you know Bed/Bad doesn't sound good in English. Also, I would use short first name if your last name is long and vice versa. Good luck.
