Haven't been to Canada but have been to Singapore and Singapore beats most of European countries by miles in terms of modern infrastructure, technologies and lifestlye. Weather is beautiful all year roudn. but the only drawback is, the country is too small.
Also check this quote out from an article on CNBC's Website.

In December 2007, Rogers sold
his mansion in New York City for about 16
million USD and moved to Singapore. This is due mainly in his belief that this is a
ground-breaking time for investment potential in Asian markets. Rogers' first daughter is
now being tutored in Mandarin to prepare her for the future, he says.
"Moving to Asia now is like moving to New York City in 1907," he said. Also,
he is quoted to say: "If you were smart in 1807 you moved to London, if you were smart in 1907 you moved to New York City, and if you are smart in 2007 you move to Asia." In a CNBC interview with Maria
Bartiromo
broadcast on May 5, 2008, Rogers
said that people in Asia are extremely
motivated and driven, and he wants to be in that type of environment, so his
daughters are motivated and driven. He said during that interview that, this is
how America and Europe used to be. He chose not to move to Hong Kong or Shanghai due to the high
levels of pollution causing potential health problems for his family. His
second daughter was born in 2008. [3]

Dear Spot ji,

first of all i would like to congrats you to have jobs lined up for you in your choice of country ..feels good isnt' it after putting good effort to ti?? ;-) would  you plz informe me how to efficiently finds jobs in defferent countries  through online  ??  i have submitted my resume in severals online jobs recruiters like  seek it services, carrierbuilder.com  but no good results yet ( im refereing for european countries)... i have worked as a QA engineer in small company and i have a good programming backround........plz spot ji provide me some inportant info ..thanks in advance!!!

well in my point of view , you should  move to canada rather then singapore, i dont know soo many things about singapore's  job markets , but they are using chinese language as a first and official language like hongkong .. so language would be huge prob for u even singaporian speaks english...would be problem for finding jobs in future...just my short thought .....

but in canada , even french is the official language like english . they all speaks english which is easier for you. economy is not bad even USA is struggling right now. Job markets are blooming especially  in your field. i have read somewhere, Canadian Gov is going to produce thier own oil company in quebec; area  and it is going to be as big as middle east . Imagine canadian gov is making that money. It is big country, big diversity and multicultural and more oppertunity the country built by immigrants so recisem would be less. And for your info after living one year in canada you would be eligible to apply for residency and would be easy for you. FREE HEALTHCARE for family and FREE educations for kids.. after living in canada for three yrs and u can hunt your job in US too :-) canadian finds jobs easily in US....anyway decision in your hand my friend only i can wish u GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!hopefully i helped you out lil bit!!!

Hey Spot. i still couldn't understand what that BUS stands for? Is it kind of high secret mission not willing to tell your profession or what.

It would be more helpful for me as well as to other guys who are in the critical stage of choosing their career path. Some sort of information may help decide follow right path rather than following obsolete path ending up in frustration.

Sometimes just a notion of your career path could be million dollar information for startup.

Thanks Spot.

Hey Spotty:

You have edited your original posting three times. Originally, you wrote that you have two job offers in engineering in hand (one form Canada and another from Singapore).

But after lot of editing your posting appears as "If received job offer from two countries: Canada and Singapore......"

Why did you do that? Of course, once I started poking  you.,.. you were forced to do that... which means you idiot don't have offers in your hand... ...

That's why I was responding you in funny ways.. people do lot of shoe offs... you are one of them....

Besides your question is vague... depending on which engineering you are talking about, people can give their opinions correctly.. don't make is so vague.... like a pus sy.

My
One dime..

If you love nepal and
want to settle down in nepal after sometime then Sigapore would be the best
option. You love nepal but you
are frustrated with current political situation and don't see any future in
nepal then you should go to Canada and apply for canadaian PR under Canadian
experience class when you are eligible.

BTW, Congratulations on getting job offer from two countries.

This guys does not have job offers.....

besides applying for Canadian PR... engineers cannot apply anymore... only "Construction Manager" occupation can apply. There are 38 high-demand occupation list, you have to be one of them... but engineers are not in that list.. sorry.

You can enter Canada as a student, and then only you are eligible to apply.. that's totally different route...

Spot - check out the following website.  It will help you to decide better.

http://www.mrbiao.com/blog/analysis-on-canada-vs-singapore-again-day-94-in-vancouver.html

Also, do keep in mind that Canada is 2nd largest country in the world and each province of Canada is different.  Singapore is one of the world's smallest country and almost all parts of Singapore are similar.  Rest - all on you.
