I graduated in December with B.S. in Elec. Engineering and I'm currently working in a company but they have the hiring freeze going on so they can't hire me but they are fine if I just work full time in hourly till i find another job or situation gets better at our own company. But since its already getting close for H-1B application and I haven't heard from any other companies for jobs, what are my options. I'm really confused , I'm  looking for job real actively but with this economy im having difficulty on finding new job. I thought lot of people might be in my situation so any help will be appreciated.

nnn ji,

The reality is that the US economy will take another 10-15 years, at least (if I might say) to get back to where it was (prior to 9/11). If things do change for the better more early,we shall see as it unfold. But this is purely speculative. I would suggest you make the best out of your present time hanging on to any sort of work you can get hold of ,currently. I have seen many Americans getting engaged in the meanest jobs which they once scorned. With this, I also suggest you to join another school, as suggested by Chyangre Ji. In the meantime, you could still keep looking for jobs and companies and try your luck.

My good wishes.
