except for a couple, most "nephop" is just embarrassing. even hip-hop singers need to have a good singing voice. some of the voices just makes me cringe, some depend almost entirely on the video to work. i'm not sure "nephop" is there yet.

aaaaaaaaaaa.. aaba na chaaba ko nepali hip-hop. gaune lai bhanda sunne lai laaj. if only anyone knew what they were doing... ko cha ramro, maile ajha samma sunya chaina. as much as I hate being critical about emerging artists, the nepali hip-hop scene is very pathetic. There is no passion, no ingeuinty in the nepali hip-hop scene. Majority of them are singing cuz they got the money to make a record. and a couple of "foreign returned" kids who think they know better. On the other hand, I wish someone would prove me wrong.

I love my music as my choice music can brighten up my mood when I am down, provide me extra energy when I am running, makes me contemplate on life issues and so on. Thank god, there are endless number of good music from yester year to motivate me to pick me up my guitar from time to sing my heart out, which touches on friendship, hardship, family and dreams. It does not matter that I am not an accomplish musician but the time that I sing those meaningful songs from the depth of my heart always brings that good feeling. I am sure you guys, hip hoppers, also get the kind of feeling I mentioned above. Good luck with your works !!

looks like not only nephop but hiphop in general deosn't get the respect and recognition they deserve. That's why I give props to the nephop artists. They are working hard to break that barrier. There are some nephop artists that i really like, who'z really making difference in nephop. my favorits are dj aj, nepsydaz, nurbu sherpa, gorkhali g. Actually, i can connect some of them with their western counterpart.  dj aj is like the dr. dre of nepal, brilliant producer. nepsydaz is like gunit, very talented rap group. nurbu sherpa is like kanye west, very experimental and versatile rapper. gorkhali g like run dmc. just my 2 cents.
